Fire your split cannon at an alien formation: tap ÷3 and the ships snap into rows of 3, every full row explodes, and the leftover ships — the remainder — dive at you.
Division Squadron plays like Galaga: a formation of alien ships hovers over the child's fighter, and the split cannon fires in equal rows — tapping ÷4 snaps 18 ships into 4 rows of 4, the full rows explode and the 2 ships left over dive at the fighter, so the remainder is something the child sees coming, not a number in a box. Later sectors ask for an exact leftover to capture in a tractor beam and for the one fleet a fixed cannon splits evenly, targeting the idea that any divisor 'goes into' a number and that the remainder is just a leftover digit. Three shields soften misses and an empty shield bar restarts the sector with the fact that broke it instead of ending the run. Best for Grades 3–5.
