Drag survey cards into the cell where their two traits meet, dial each group's share as a percentage of the glowing total, then judge from the bars whether the traits are linked.
Survey respondents arrive as cards carrying two categorical traits (Grade 8, has a pet); the player drags or taps each one into the two-way table cell where its row trait meets its column trait, and the counts and margins build up live. In the forge mode the counts are given and the denominator group glows: dial each row's (or column's) relative frequency in 5% steps and a bar fills to match, so 6 of 8 is seen as three-quarters. In the judge mode the player forges both shares, then compares the bars and calls the traits linked (a 20-point gap or more) or not. It targets the core misconception of dividing by the grand total instead of the group total. Best for Grade 8 (8.SP.4).
