Deal crates onto the trucks round by round — what's left in the pile is the remainder. Sharing IS the division!
A large number is divided among a set number of trucks; a child works out how many go in each and what, if anything, is left over. The repeated practice builds long-division fluency and a clear sense of what remainders mean in a real sharing situation. Best for Grades 4–5, or any child who knows basic division facts and is ready to tackle larger dividends.
