Build a plank bridge of exactly the right length — mixing metres and centimetres, centimetres and millimetres, or feet and inches — before the marching lemmings reach the gap.
Measure Lemmings plays like Lemmings: the lemmings never stop walking, and the child must pile up planks (1 m, 50 cm, 20 cm, 10 cm · 1 ft, 6 in, 3 in · 1 cm, 5 mm) whose lengths add up to exactly the gap on the sign — written as 1 m 30 cm, 130 cm, 1.35 m, 2 ft 3 in or 1 yd 9 in — then BUILD the bridge. A short bridge drops a lemming into the safety net and a long one jams, and the feedback converts both lengths into one unit (1 m + 20 cm = 120 cm; the gap is 150 cm, 30 cm short), targeting the habit of adding metres and centimetres as if they were the same unit and misreading decimal metres. Best for Grades 4–6.
