Slide a pencil and a ribbon to the start line to see which is longer, put flowers in order from short to tall, then lay paper clips end to end — no gaps — to measure how many clips long.
Measure Meadow is a free measurement game for Kindergarten and Grade 1. Children drag a pencil, crayon, ribbon or stick to a red start line to compare which is longer or shorter, tap flowers 1, 2, 3 from shortest to tallest, then measure by laying paper clips end to end along an object and counting them. Later levels ask them to fix a measurement with a gap or two stacked clips, and to compare two things that cannot be lined up by measuring both. Every miss says what went wrong in plain words — a gap makes the count wrong, clips must start at the line — and nothing is timed. Best for Kindergarten–Grade 1.
