Grade 3 fraction games practice unit fractions, fractions on a number line, simple equivalent fractions and comparing fractions with the same top or bottom number.

Grade 3 is the first big fraction year. Children learn that 1/4 is one of four equal parts, and that 3/4 is three of those parts. They place fractions on a number line, find simple equivalent fractions such as 1/2 = 2/4, and compare fractions that share a numerator or a denominator. Most work uses halves, thirds, fourths, sixths and eighths.
