Learning paths — FAQ

What is a learning path?

A learning path is one math topic — counting, fractions, geometry, algebra and so on — laid out as an ordered list of games, easiest first. Each game builds on the one before it, so a child can start at the first game they can't already do and work forward without guessing what to play next.

Where should my child start?

Pick the topic they are working on at school, then start at the first game in that path that feels slightly hard rather than at the very beginning. The games ramp inside each path, so a child who clears a game quickly should simply move to the next one.

Do the paths follow the school curriculum?

They follow the usual grade-by-grade progression for grades 1–8 — the same order most curricula teach, for example counting before place value, equivalent fractions before adding fractions, one-step before two-step equations — but they are not tied to any single textbook or country.

Are the games on the learning paths free?

Yes. Every game on every path is free, with no ads and no sign-up, and runs in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
