Grade 5 fraction games practice adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators, multiplying fractions, and dividing with unit fractions.
In grade 5, children add and subtract fractions with different denominators by first finding equivalent fractions, as in 1/2 + 1/3 = 3/6 + 2/6. They learn that a fraction is a division (3/4 = 3 ÷ 4), multiply a fraction by a fraction, and divide a unit fraction by a whole number or a whole number by a unit fraction.

- Compare Fraction CliffGrades 3–5Practises: compare fractions · greater less equal · benchmark fractionsTwo climbers rest at fraction heights on a cliff — pick the sign (<, =, >) that compares who climbed higher.Play
- Equivalent ExpressGrades 3–5Practises: equivalent fractions · scaling fractions · fractionsScale a fraction up — fill the new bar until it reaches the same line, so 1/2 = 2/4 = 4/8.Play
- Fraction of a SetGrades 3–5Practises: fraction of a set · equal groups · unit fractionsSplit a group of counters into equal rings, then collect just the fraction the mission asks for — a fraction of a set is fair sharing.Play
- Fraction FrontierGrades 3–5Practises: fractions · comparing fractions · adding fractionsChart fractions on a trail number line: plot a fraction, compare which is bigger, and add fractions by hopping — with equal fractions landing on the very same spot.Play
- Fraction FeastGrades 3–5Practises: fraction of a set · mixed numbers · fractionsCater the party by fractions: serve a fraction of a tray of treats, or count all the slices in a mixed number — then plate exactly that many.Play
- Compare FractionsGrades 3–5Practises: comparing fractions · fractions · benchmark halfPour each fraction into a glass tube on a balance scale, then declare which side is heavier — or call it equal — and watch the beam settle toward the truth.Play
- Benchmark Fraction BayGrades 3–5Practises: benchmark fractions · compare fractions · number lineRead a fraction bar against 0, ½, and 1 — is it nearest which landmark, and is it more or less than a half?Play
- Fraction StackGrades 3–5Practises: adding fractions · equivalent fractions · common denominatorSteer falling fraction bricks into rows that are each one whole, and clear a row only when its bricks add up to exactly 1.Play
- Decimal ColumnsGrades 3–5Practises: decimals · place value · equivalence · 5.NBT.A.3Steer and cycle falling sticks of three decimal jewels so three equal values line up and clear, however they are written — 0.5, 0.50, 5 tenths or 50/100.Play
- Fraction DoctorGrades 3–5Practises: equivalent fractions · simplifying · equivalenceSteer falling two-part fraction capsules into the jar and line up 4 equal fractions — like 1/2, 2/4, 3/6 and 4/8 — to cure each virus fraction.Play
- Triple MatchGrades 4–5Practises: fractions · decimals · percent · 5.NBT.A.3Fractions, decimals and percents are three costumes for one value. Read whichever form is shown and calibrate the meter to the matching percent.Play
- Add Fraction ForgeGrades 4–6Practises: add fractions · like denominators · improper fractionsHammer two same-bottom fraction ingots together and dial the combined top number to forge the sum.Play
- Fraction PropulsionGrades 4–6Practises: fractions · equivalent fractions · ratiosBalance twin warp cores running on different denominators — fill both to the same energy line to prove equivalent fractions and jump across the galaxy.Play
- Simplify StationGrades 4–6Practises: simplifying · gcf · equivalent fractionsFold the fraction down — ÷ chips shrink top and bottom together while the value bar never moves.Play
- Fraction Estimation CoveGrades 4–6Practises: estimate fractions · benchmark fractions · add fractionsRound each fraction to the nearest benchmark, then combine them to estimate the sum or difference before the exact answer.Play
- Subtract Fraction ForgeGrades 4–6Practises: subtract fractions · like denominators · unlike denominatorsChip a fraction piece off a fraction bar and forge a new bar to show what's left.Play
- Fraction AddGrades 4–6Practises: adding fractions · common denominator · fractionsGive two fractions a matching bottom number, then add or subtract the tops — the common denominator is set for you; dial the numerator of the answer.Play
- FDP TriadGrades 5–6Practises: fraction decimal percent · equivalence · percentOne shaded 100-grid, three names — match the fraction, decimal, and percent that mean the same amount.Play
- Percent LabGrades 5–6Practises: percent · equivalence · fractionsFill a 100-square grid by dragging — the fill level is the percent. Set percents, match fractions and decimals, and find the percent of a number.Play
- Fraction MultiplyGrades 5–6Practises: multiplying fractions · area model · fractionsOverlap two fractions on a chocolate-bar grid — shaded rows cross shaded columns and the overlap is your answer. Tops multiply, bottoms multiply.Play
- Fraction DivideGrades 5–6Practises: dividing fractions · fractionsDivide fractions by scooping: how many 1/4-cup scoops fit in 3/2 cups? Ladle out one scoop at a time — the count IS the quotient.Play
