Multiplication Games for 4th Grade
Play Array Architect (Grades 3–5)Grade 4 multiplication games practice multi-digit multiplication, factors and multiples, and multiplication as comparison ("3 times as many").
In grade 4, multiplication grows past the times tables. Children multiply up to a four-digit number by a one-digit number and two two-digit numbers. They find factor pairs and multiples, and they solve "times as many" word problems. Fast fact recall from grade 3 makes all of this easier.
26 Multiplication Games for Grade 4
- Times Table TowerGrades 2–4Each fact lights up as a rows×columns dot array — skip-count it, dial the product, and ride the elevator up.
- Pictograph PierGrades 2–4Read the pier catch board where each icon is worth the KEY number, then count by the key.
- Piggy PlanGrades 2–4Plan your savings: work out the total after a few weeks, how many weeks to reach a goal, or how much to save each week.
- True-False CircuitGrades 2–4Equations stream toward the OUT gate — judge each TRUE or FALSE before it slips through. Fast streaks surge the circuit faster!
- MTC PracticeGrades 3–4A timed Multiplication Tables Check drill — 25 facts from the 2–12 tables, 6 seconds each, just like the real Year 4 check.
- Galaxy DividersGrades 3–4Split a drifting ship swarm into equal docking bays — drag, tractor-beam or deal the ships round by round; leftovers escape to the pod as remainders.
- Multiplication ComparisonGrades 3–4Two bars, one longer — build it, count how many times as long, or split it back to the unit with the bar model.
- Vector VanguardGrades 3–4Alien fleets attack in rectangular formations — read the ship count, dial a ROWS × COLUMNS plasma matrix whose area matches it, and FIRE before the fleet lands. Waves keep coming and keep growing.
- Multiply PongGrades 3–4Slide a paddle made of a times-table row so the right product meets a ball carrying 6 × 7, and return it before it gets past.
- Division DashGrades 3–5A treat delivery needs sharing — work out the equal split and send the delivery.
- Area AvenueGrades 3–5Pave the avenue with square tiles — count the grid (rows × columns) to find the area.
- Array ArchitectGrades 3–5Build big multiplications with the area model — split into tens + ones, multiply each part, then add.
- Equivalent ExpressGrades 3–5Scale a fraction up — fill the new bar until it reaches the same line, so 1/2 = 2/4 = 4/8.
- Fraction of a SetGrades 3–5Split a group of counters into equal rings, then collect just the fraction the mission asks for — a fraction of a set is fair sharing.
- Fraction FeastGrades 3–5Cater the party by fractions: serve a fraction of a tray of treats, or count all the slices in a mixed number — then plate exactly that many.
- Price DetectiveGrades 3–5One line on the receipt is wrong — find it! Check each price with your magnifying glass and tap the culprit.
- Savings Goal SummitGrades 3–5Save the same amount every week and climb the money mountain to the goal flag.

- Serving Size ScalerGrades 3–6Fill the bowl with the servings you really ate and scale the label to match.
- Prime ChompGrades 3–6Steer a muncher through a maze of numbers and chomp only the multiples, factors or primes the rule asks for while dodging the ghosts.
- Division Remainder RanchGrades 4–5Pen the flock into equal pens — fill the whole pens, mind the sheep left over, and decide when a leftover still needs a pen.
- Factor Pairs FarmGrades 4–5Plant crops into rows and columns until the field forms a perfect rectangle — every full rectangle is a factor pair.
- Prime FactoryGrades 4–6Dock rush! Numbers roll toward the shipping dock — SPLIT the composites into factor pairs, SHIP the primes whole. Watch out for sneaky 51s and 91s.
- Order OpsGrades 4–6Defuse the falling expression bombs! Tap the operations in PEMDAS order — each correct tap collapses the math in place before the bomb hits the line.
- Recipe RescaleGrades 4–6Double it, halve it, or cook for a crowd — grow each ingredient bar to its correctly scaled amount and keep the recipe in proportion.
- Factor DigGrades 4–6Drill number boulders apart with a factor that divides them, digging a factor tree down through the dirt until only prime gems are left.
Common Questions
What multiplication do 4th graders learn?
Most US grade 4 standards cover multiplying up to four digits by one digit and two digits by two digits, using place value and the area model. Kids also find all factor pairs of a number up to 100 and decide if a number is prime or composite.
My 4th grader still does not know the times tables. What should I do?
Keep practicing the facts alongside the new grade 4 work. Find which facts are slow, often the 6s, 7s and 8s, and practice only those for a few minutes a day. A times-table game that repeats missed facts helps. Meanwhile, let them use a fact chart for multi-digit work so they can still learn the method.
Are these 4th grade multiplication games free?
Yes. They are free with no ads and no sign-up, and they play in the browser on any device.
