Grade 2 place value games practice hundreds, tens and ones, expanded form, comparing three-digit numbers and adding or subtracting with regrouping.
In grade 2, place value grows to hundreds. Children learn that ten tens make one hundred, read and write numbers to 1,000 in digits, words and expanded form (352 = 300 + 50 + 2), and compare three-digit numbers. They also use place value to add and subtract within 1,000, trading tens and hundreds when they need to.
